Melinda Fay
Melinda Fay is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialization in Art Therapy. She received her MA Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute in 2002.
She has extensive experience serving individuals, couples and families in various settings. She began her career working as a mental health counselor at Glendale Community College. She has worked with underserved populations and at risk youth providing in home family services at Hathaway-Sycamores and Rosemary Children’s Services.
In 2008 Melinda transitioned to Las Encinas Hospital where she conducted therapy groups (process, CBT, dual diagnosis) and assessed and treated individuals receiving inpatient treatment. Melinda employs her lifelong love of art and nature into her practice. She believes disconnection from nature and the creative self contribute to many modern day illnesses. Utilizing the restorative powers of nature to heal and transform, she offers mindful
walk and talk sessions to her clients.
Melinda approaches each person with curiosity and begins each day with fresh eyes.
