Roxanne Cooperstone
Roxanne has a passion for teaching mindfulness practices and has worked as a chemical dependency counselor for over 15 years. She is a CCAPP Professional CADC II Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and an experienced Dialectical Behavioral Therapy practitioner.
Roxanne has worked in many program settings including inpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, acute psychiatric, acute hospital detoxification and private practice. She has designed and facilitated educational and process-oriented individual/group/family clinical interventions for patients needing psychiatric and medical care. As a facilitator of psychoeducational and clinical group therapy, Roxanne’s approach to teaching healthy coping strategies are eclectic and pulls from multiple approaches. She strives to create a space that is caring, empathetic, and non-judgmental where people feel respected and free to be themselves. She is dedicated to the reunification of families, establishing realistic expectations, and providing clinical support.
Roxanne believes that each person is a unique individual and that by fostering their natural resilience and strengths they will be able to learn lifelong skills and have a fulfilling future without the dependence on chemicals.
